A) LAKE CYCLING SHOES

CX 241

Built on the COMPETITION last, this shoe is designed for any competitive event.  This is seen by its increased toe pitch and heel lift and a slightly tighter (and heat moldable) heel cup plus wider forefoot (ball of the foot area) which allows the foot to expand from high pedaling pressures.

The outsole is the industry’s widest full 100% carbon fiber. The upper is made from abrasion resistant full grain leather. The new closure system is dual push/pull IP1 BOA lacing.

CX 332

– Built on a narrow RACE last, but, be warned that even though this shoe is called “Extra-Wide,” it is actually narrower than the CX 241 Wide. This shoe is designed for cyclists with an average E-width foot where the CX 241 is for those up to EE width.

The CX 332’s last is full 100% carbon fiber while the upper is ultra-soft ventilated Kangaroo leather. The new closure system is dual side mounted L6 BOA.

These two shoes are, in my opinion, the best production shoes on the market. One reason is their PERFECT fit, the other is that they offer the widest full carbon lasts in the industry. Why is this important?

In order to reduce the cost of cycling shoes, manufacturers provide a narrower carbon sole. The problem with a narrow sole is that the 1st and 5th metatarsal can be hanging off the edge, not making full contact with the sole. With these LAKE cycling shoes, the carbon goes all the way to both edges of the shoe ensuring full engagement of all 5 metatarsals.

B) NITE IZE INOVA STS Powerswitch Dual Power Rechargeable Headlamp 280 Lumens

A recent customer purchased this headlamp and gave them an AWESOME review!

Great headlamp! Very bright – use for biking around San Francisco at night. Easy to use with a swipe to illuminate. Controls are conveniently placed on the top of the headlamp. It is waterproof, which helps with all the rain that SF gets! There is a low and high setting for each color (white and red). The high setting for white lasts over 3 hours, so I barely have to charge it. Also the headlamp strap is comfortable and easily adjustable. I would definitely recommend this headlamp for biking commuters!
