Thanks to Aaron, the German bike brand, we might just have the perfect solution.

What’s the value of comfort?
One of the biggest issues cyclists face is discomfort, and it’s important to speak about that before the seat post. Sometimes we have the power in our legs to go further and faster, but we’re just too uncomfortable to do so. This is a common issue in long-distance cycling, touring, and bikepacking.
Many people feel they don’t have the ability to ride for long hours because they just get too much pressure on their contact points. You can have the perfect saddle and the best bike fit and even have spent hours in the saddle training, but sometimes it’s not enough.
When it comes to cycling, comfort is the most important aspect and is typically the difference between a good day out on the bike and a painful ride which makes you want to give up cycling altogether.
What is the Aaron Suspension seat post?
The Aaron cycling suspension seat post is a unique product that replaces your original seat post with a seat post with suspension installed into it. When you go over bumps, it allows the bike seat to compress to take the impact away from the contact point of your saddle and your behind.
We have seen a lot of riders avoid certain disciplines, such as gravel and even certain routes because they are lumpy and cause discomfort, but you shouldn’t have to. We have seen cyclists change to slow, heavy suspension bikes and waste a huge amount of money on different saddles and bib shorts when the solution could be a simple change of a seat post.
What does the Aaron seat post look like?
The seat post is barely noticeable on any bike and looks like a typical seat post with just a smaller section on the top. It doesn’t look out of place on any bike and comes in two colors, black, and silver, to match your bike.
What bikes will the Aaron Suspension seat Post work on?
The Aaron seat post comes in 27.2mm, 30.9mm, and 31.6mm, and will fit 99% of bikes between these three sizes. It’s 350mm long, so it will also give you plenty of room to play with on the seat height. It can be used on road, gravel, mountain, and even commuting and hybrid bikes.
What Suspension does the Aaron seat post offer?
The Aaron seat post offers 40mm of suspension travel at the seat post, which is an incredible amount for such a small part of the bike.
You also have the option to adjust the preload, which means if you’re finding it engaging too often, you can make it less sensitive, or if it doesn’t engage enough, you can make it more sensitive.
Is the Aaron suspension seat post Strong?
The Aaron suspension seat post is made of lightweight aluminum and made to be very strong. It was designed to take a heavy impact and completely return to its original setting.
It is very strong as we believe it has the ability to be much stronger than the original seat post you will swap it out for.
Is the Aaron seat post difficult to install?
The seat post is very easy to install. First, you will want to measure the seat post height to the bottom bracket. Then all you have to do is loosen one bolt on the seat post collar and remove the old seat along with the saddle. Then install the saddle on the new seat post, insert it into the bike’s frame, and tighten it at the correct height.
How much does the Aaron seat post Weigh?
When you get components that offer extra function, like a suspension seat post, you generally find they do weigh more than a standard component. We were surprised to find the Aaron seat post doesn’t give too much of a weight penalty.
A standard seat post comes in at roughly 300 grams, and the Aaron suspension comes in at 480g, so there is only a 180g difference which is about the weight of an inner tube.
Can the Aaron seat post be used with saddlebags?
Many cyclists look at these seat posts for bikepacking, which often involves using a saddlebag. The Aaron seat post is compatible with saddlebags, but we recommend using a saddle bag to keep fairly flexible gear in and only attaching it to the bottom of the post, not the section which moves.
